A New Covenant

Luke 22:20 ESV

And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood."

Wow! Jesus shed his blood that we would have a new covenant with God! It is hard to comprehend the magnificence and magnitude of his sacrifice.

New Wine, New Wineskins

Jesus said to his apostles, "No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins." Luke 5:38

What does this Scripture mean for us today?

New and Old Treasures

Jesus spoke of using treasure both new and old. He tells his disciples, "Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old." (Matthew 13:52)
It is the Spirit of God within us that will guide us to use the best of the old and the new as we seek first the kingdom of God.

God Is Doing An Old Thing In New Ways

Look around. What do you see? A hopeless world beyond trying to help? Or loads of opportunity to help the hurting, broken, enslaved and lost?

I have been encouraged by the way many Jesus followers, on fire for their
Lord and Savior, are using new media to reach the unreached. Stay tuned to be encouraged everyday.
